Mustangs fall short to Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns, 71-73

The Mustangs fought tooth and nail this past Tuesday night but it just wasn’t enough as they wowed the crowd against the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns, but lost 70-72. Down by as much as 18, they were able to climb back in it to come within three points of winning in the last minute of the game.

Down at the half 43-25, the boys fought to get back in it. With little time left, Trinton Garrett hit back to back three’s to put the Mustangs within two points. Garrett finished with 12 points, all three pointers.

Aundrew Samuel led the team with 17 points. Michael Wardlow and Rocedric Pappillion both scored 14 and Joshua Holifield finished with 8.

The Mustangs next game will be Saturday at 3:30 against Shepherd at home. They will also host Kountze Saturday after Thanksgiving.
