The Stark Museum of Art annual art exhibition is in process and thanks too Ms.Lacey Hale, the West Orange-Stark High School photography students will participate this year along with Mrs. Garza’s art students. The students have until February 5th to submit their artwork and it be counted on time. March 1st, a list of 100 students will be posted on the Stark Museum of Art’s website whose artwork will be presented in the showcase. The art exhibit will be open March 19 – May 18, 2019. Until then, many photography and art students will work on portraits.
“My plan for the competition is to talk with my grandpa about his Louisiana background and see if any ideas spark from there,” Junior Kassidy Vasquez said.
That being said, Portraits of Our Community is the theme of the entire exhibit, last year a student from Lumberton High school won with an artwork titled, Face. This being the first time any photography students engage in this competition, there might just be a winner from West Orange.
