On September 13th, 2018 student’s received their ID’s in their sixth-period class. After years of not wearing IDs, they have made a comeback.
“I don’t like wearing my ID mainly because of how easy it is to lose, and I think it’s kinda stupid for us having to wear the IDs now,” Junior Kassidy Vasquez said.
If you didn’t hear it from the morning announcements or your teachers telling you, every ID has to be visible, it can not be defaced and it has to be yours not another students. If lost you can pay five dollars for a new one or buy a temporary one for a dollar. If you do not have a dollar you will be provided with a temporary but you’ll have to attend ASD.
“The school enforces different things for different reasons I suppose, but this is a little crazy like with the bright orange vest,” Junior Kalen Duhan said.
Though there is not an exact reason as to why we have to go back to wearing IDs, the ID card is now in the dress code and are being used to scan for lunch purchases, purchases of extracurricular activity tickets and checking out books from the library.
