Student Council Rises Again

Along with a new school year there are also new clubs and organizations attempting to make a popular rise. With the gain of two new sponsors, Student Council has shown an increase and membership and hope for more influence on students. Meetings for Student Council are held on Wednesday’s during lunch.
“Mr. Henson and I are very excited to be sponsors this year and grow the program,” Theatre teacher Mr. Franco said.
Mr. Franco teaches at the middle school, Theatre 1, Theatre 2, and Theatre productions. Franco is also the sponsor of drama club.
“It’s great because I get to see students work outside of the classroom. And I love to see them become great workers,” Choir teacher Mr. Henson said.
Along with new sponsors, there is a new wave of members. Those who have paid their dues have decided to stay in Student Council and make a difference at their school.
“I am excited to be apart of student council because I’ll get to make a difference in my community,” Sophomore Patricia LaFleur said.
Students that are interested in Student Council can see Mr. Franco or Mr. Henson, or attend a meeting. Once again, meetings are Wednesday in the Theatre room during lunch.
