Changing Coming For CTE Building

Around the second semester of the 2017-2018 school year students who have a Career Center class learned that next year it may be offering more classes such as: Criminal Justice and Cosmetology.
“I’ve always been into crime shows, and when I learned about criminal justice being offered next year I couldn’t wait to sign up,” Junior Frumencio Alvarez said.
Adding these new courses will widen a students career path. For an example, taking criminal justice you can become more than just a police officer. You can become a forensic photographer or a game warden. It all depends on how you choose to go with this elective.
“From what I was told, ten students who have the grades and behavior go to Port Arthur for cosmetology for four hours. I’m hoping to be one of those ten students,” Sophomore Megan Dorantes said.
